The town's name in English is."The lady on the Hill"
After our roast turkey dinner, we played a game called rummy cup it's similar to gin rummy card game but used tokens the size of scrabble pieces.
The swiss can knock of a bottle each or more of vino each easily .there is no way
I could ever keep up with them .
But the game will be good way to pass the evenings.
After a typical italian breakfast Cake , coffee and luckily an egg we started off about 9:45.
The weather has turned and sunny days have gone
.for the first few hours temp was freezing .
There are lots of valleys and peaks in this area , so all day it was up and down frequently slow and laboured ascending.
.Trail was country back roads and winding tracks through vineyards .
The scenery was divine gasp, gasp beautiful so so Italian .
Not a glass shoes box highrise in site and small hamlets dotted occasionaly on the hilltops .
Finally. came across a bar for for coffee at Veccia trattoria, about 1pm Where we sat on a nice sunny terrace .
Arrived at B&B La Civette 3pm ish.
We have a villa to ourselves with owner in adjoining property. She is also providing dinner.
The rooms are all furnished with art and period furniture.
So hope it does no rain for day 3
